About Me

The
BASICS
Hello! I’m a nonbinary Canadian artist, musician, and author of DEAD GIRLS DON’T SAY SORRY from Knopf BFYR, I WISH YOU WOULDN'T, and MAYBE TOMORROW I'LL KNOW (upcoming). Kirkus Reviews called DEAD GIRLS “unsettling and sharply observed,” which really nails what I’m going for in my writing.
When I'm not writing, you can find me hosting tabletop game night as a forever GM, working on illustrations, messing with some musical instrument or another, or hunched over a paint-by-number that has completely taken over my waking consciousness. I write a lot of contemporary (mostly queer), fantasy (mostly horror), and suspense (mostly psychological). Almost everything is set in Canada and features emotional gut-punches that have been described as "rude" and "uncalled for." I live in Calgary, Alberta with my roommate, our two cats, and a TBR pile stacked higher than my head.
